Ficus Elastica Shivereana Moonshine is a distinctive variegated rubber plant prized for its unusual foliage and upright growth habit. Its broad, oval-shaped leaves feature a marbled mixture of pale green, yellow-green, and darker green speckles, giving each leaf a unique pattern. New leaves may emerge with a bronze or reddish tint before maturing into their characteristic variegated colors. The glossy, leathery foliage adds texture and contrast to indoor plant collections, making this variety a standout alternative to traditional solid-green rubber plants.

As the plant matures, it develops sturdy stems and an upright, tree-like form. With adequate light and growing space, it can become an impressive indoor foliage specimen, although its growth is generally slower than that of a standard green rubber plant because the pale portions of its leaves contain less chlorophyll. The variegation is the main attraction, and providing enough bright, indirect light helps maintain the plant’s distinctive coloring. This plant thrives indoors in bright, indirect light and warm temperatures. An east-facing window or a bright room with filtered light is often ideal. Plant it in a well-draining potting mix and allow the upper portion of the soil to dry between waterings.
