MAG® Ice Melting Pellets
MAG® Ice Melting Pellets are a high-performance de-icing solution that uses pure, natural magnesium chloride for fast and effective melting of snow and ice, even in very cold weather. The pellets begin working immediately on contact, breaking down ice bonds and creating a brine layer that eases snow and ice removal, making driveways, sidewalks, steps, and parking areas safer and less slippery. Application Tips:
Placement: Evenly spread the pellets over snow- or ice-covered surfaces such as walkways, driveways, steps, or parking lots. Use a spreader or moderate, even hand-scattering to avoid over-application.
After-Use Cleaning: Once ice and snow have melted, sweep or rinse away any remaining pellets or residue to prevent buildup. Avoid leaving excess pellets on surfaces to minimize potential runoff or residue accumulation.
Avoid Over-application: Use only the recommended amount. Excess pellets can be wasteful and may increase residual chloride exposure to surrounding vegetation or surfaces.
Storage: Keep unused pellets in their sealed bag, stored in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture absorption, clumping, or degradation.
Reapplication: Reapply as needed during periods of recurring snow/ice or freeze–thaw cycles to maintain safe, clear surfaces.
