Espoma Organic Soil Acidifier
Espoma Organic Soil Acidifier is an all-natural, granular soil amendment designed to help gardeners create the ideal acidic conditions for acid-loving plants. By gradually lowering soil pH, it enables blueberries, hydrangeas, azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias, and other acid-loving shrubs and ornamentals to more efficiently absorb essential nutrients. This results in stronger root systems, healthier foliage, and more vibrant flowers and fruit.
Formulated with elemental sulfur and gypsum, the product works slowly and safely over time, avoiding sudden pH changes that can stress plants. Unlike aluminum sulfate or other harsh chemicals, Espoma Soil Acidifier is organic, non-toxic, and pet- and pollinator-friendly, making it a safe choice for home gardens, raised beds, and container plantings. Its granular form allows for precise application, easy integration into soil, and consistent long-term results.
Gardeners also use this product to enhance hydrangea flower color, helping pink blooms turn blue over time by creating the right soil acidity. Additionally, it improves soil structure by encouraging microbial activity, which contributes to healthier, more resilient garden ecosystems. Regular application can support a wide range of ornamental and fruiting plants that prefer acidic conditions while fostering a thriving, balanced garden environment.
Whether you are establishing new plantings, revitalizing mature shrubs, or maintaining container gardens, Espoma Organic Soil Acidifier provides a simple, eco-friendly solution to optimize soil chemistry and support plant health naturally.
