How To Apply:
Espoma Plant-Tone can be applied at planting time or as a seasonal feeding for established plants. For new plantings, mix the recommended amount thoroughly into the backfill soil before placing plants in the ground. For established trees and shrubs, sprinkle the fertilizer evenly around the drip line and lightly incorporate it into the top layer of soil. Garden beds should be prepared by blending the granules into the top few inches of soil prior to planting. Container plants can be fed by mixing Plant-tone into potting soil at planting time or by lightly incorporating it into the soil surface of established pots.
For best results, apply in spring and again in fall for trees and shrubs, and feed flowers and vegetables monthly during the active growing season. Always water thoroughly after application to activate the nutrients and beneficial Bio-tone® microbes and to move nutrients into the root zone.
