Garden Use
- Lawn Repair: For patching bare spots, remove debris and loosen the existing soil in the area. Spread evenly over the spot, filling it to a depth of about 1 inch. Apply grass seed as per package instructions, then lightly rake to mix the seed with the soil. Water thoroughly to settle the soil and keep it moist until the seed germinates.
- Overseeding: Prepare your lawn by mowing it short and removing debris. Spread a thin, even layer of this soil across the lawn. Apply grass seed, ensuring even coverage, and gently rake to incorporate the seed into the soil. Water regularly until the new grass establishes.
- New Lawn Installation: Spread Espoma® Organic® Lawn Soil over the prepared area at a depth of 1–2 inches. Lay grass seed or sod as directed and water thoroughly. For sod, press it firmly against the soil to ensure good contact.
- Top-Dressing: Use the soil as a top-dressing to improve existing lawns. Spread a thin layer over the grass, then gently rake it in to enrich the soil and promote healthy growth.
